Vacancy for a Parts Adviser

Due to an upcoming retirement in our busy parts department, we have a full-time vacancy for an enthusiastic individual to join our team starting in January 2018. The requirements of the job include receiving and selling parts and advising customers about products.

The ideal person may not necessarily have experience in such a role, but be willing to learn. A basic knowledge of engineering or agricultural machinery would be an advantage.

Responsibilities Include:

- Dealing with Customers and Suppliers face-to-face and over the phone.
- Placing Orders for Stock online and by telephone
- Receiving orders into stock
- Organising Parts within the retail area and assisting with stock control
- Packing and sending stock via courier
- Supplying technicians with parts and booking Parts to workshop jobs
- Assisting with processing invoices
- Manufacturing Hydraulic Hoses
- Identifying Parts using various online & offline systems
- Webshop maintenance
- General admin within the department

Skills Required:

- Ability to use standard computer applications (competent using internet and email, training will be provided for our dealer management system)
- An understanding of agricultural machinery and the -
- Farming or forestry industries
- Excellent Customer service skills
- Ability to prioritise workload and calm under pressure

There is an expectation of employees to attend occasional training courses for updates on products and sales techniques which may require an overnight stay.

Longer hours are likely during peak times such as harvest and Saturday mornings on a rota basis.
