This challenging, enjoyable and rewarding role involves developing and delivering accessible, enjoyable, stimulating activities and opportunities for people with vision impairment, their carers or partners at their Brighton centre.

This national charity is looking for a positive, flexible individual who’ll provide encouragement, inspiration, ideas and enthusiasm, partnered with the delivery of successful activities and a passion for working creatively.

They value their Members’ wellbeing, individual choice and recognise the impact that activities have in maintaining and developing the skills needed to enjoy a good quality of life.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a collaborative and dynamic approach, with the ability to motivate their Members, colleagues and volunteers to go beyond what they thought was possible.

You’ll facilitate, design and deliver their in house activities, trips and events, including themed day events and a varied social activity programme. You’ll support and coordinate volunteers and actively promote the activities programme, matching services to individual members’ requests and requirements.

Experience of working with elderly people, those with sight loss or other disabilities would be an advantage, however full training will be provided.
