This Managed IT Specialist is on the lookout for a great Technical Engineer to join the Technical Team, being based either at their Bournemouth Office.

About the role
You will be part of a highly skilled team in a busy environment, being involved in the following:
- On-going maintenance and development of the Data Centers and the associated core infrastructure and networks.
- Last line of escalation for complex escalated problems
- New customer builds/installs and large projects

Responsibilities
- Share technical knowledge & expertise in supporting 1st/2nd Line & Problem Engineers.
- Own & be responsible for diagnosing, solving and managing complex technical issues.
- Maintain, monitor and troubleshoot the Nasstar server & Data Centre infrastructure.
- Actively & effectively operate either as part of a group or on your own with new customer’s installations & large projects.

Required skills & personal profile
- Demonstrating a practical understanding of Active Directory, Networking & TCP/IP will be essential, plus a good understanding of:
- Windows 2008/13 Server administration & configuration
- Experience with VMWare, Citrix, Remote Desktop Services plus extensive experience with the implementation & configuration of enhanced monitoring via SolarWinds.
- DNS/DDNS, Clustering, SAN/NAS storage, Exchange 2010/13. MYSQL is also preferable.
- Any relevant accreditations e.g. Citrix, MS, VMWare.
- Experience must be weighted more towards Technical/Infrastructure-side rather than Support

Always increasing/improving own technical skills and knowledge. Tenacity when it comes to resolving problems, both current and foreseeable.
- Ability to work effectively both in group & independently, excellent troubleshooting skills and demonstrating resourcefulness (via research). Adaptiveness to changing situations and pressures. Great planning skills.
- Excellent communication skills and high standards of customer service to internal & external customers.
