This is an exciting opportunity to work with theis council’s Learning and Talent Development Team to deliver a varied programme of activity that focuses on children and young people. Their Learning Programme includes creative interpretation of their exhibition and collections for a range of audiences and increasing the range of opportunities for young people to become embedded into the organisation. This post will lead on their work around Arts Award. The successful candidate will be confident at engaging young people in meaningful and empowering ways.

Main Obectives:

- To design and deliver more opportunities for their young people programme so that more people can engage
-To produce high-quality delivery of their exhibition learning programmes
-To lead on Arts Award offer across all their programmes
- Pilot and develop new engagement with their collection

Main Duties::

1) Work with the Learning and Development Team to deliver Learning Programmes in line with the objectives in their business plan and strategy.

2) Liaise with the Exhibitions and Collections team to develop and deliver creative learning resources, activities and workshops as part of their exhibition, collections and touring programmes.

3) Develop and lead on their plans to engage young people, including young people placements within the Learning & Talent Development Team, and building partnerships to meet young people-led plans.

4) Be an ambassador for Arts Award within their programmes and deliver Arts Award activity where required.

5) Evaluate and report on their learning activity, using a mix of quantitative and qualitative feedback as required by our funders.

6) Monitor and report on relevant budgets.

7) Ensure learning activity actively promotes diversity and meets participation aims. This involves communicating with partners, exhibition venues, and relevant external bodies to encourage engagement and widen participation.

8) Act as an ambassador when delivering activity or attending events with partners to sector bodies.

9) Uphold safeguarding policies through all strands of activity.

10) Communicate effectively internally, while working with Communications and Development teams to identify opportunities to share our work more widely.

11) Assist in the delivery of their other Learning and Participation programmes as reasonably required by the Learning and Participation Manager or Head of Learning and Talent Development.

Whilst this role is based at their London base, their learning and participation programmes are delivered nationwide, and the job entails travel including overnight stays.
