The main purpose of the role is to ensure the accurate stripping and assessment of rotating equipment in the workshop and liaise with administration staff and Branch Manager.

Principal Accountabilities
- Assessment of rotating equipment repairs for spare parts and re-build - Pumps, gear boxes, fans, rotating equipment
- To be part of the ‘on call’ team
- When required attend both customer sites and other branches to support in other works.
- Ensure accurate assessments are undertaken, in a timely manner.
- Liaise with suppliers and complete costing sheets in order to provide a timely quotation.
- Enter all relevant information on their internal system and send detailed reports on pump repairs to both customers and internal staff.
- Compile and send detailed quotations
- Compile detailed risk assessments for both site work and internal works communicating clearly with customers and internal staff.
- Using the request system to allocate individual unique identification numbers to all jobs and link to the correct internal account codes and required information.
- Liaise with the allocated workshop teams in order to order all parts identified as required
- Contact and communicate with suppliers and OEMs in order to receive delivery requirements and place detailed orders.
- Liaise with all sales team members professionally and support wherever possible.
- Review service engineers time sheets and overtime on a weekly basis
- Update the Workshops Manager with all problems and issues swiftly and liaise in order to resolve quickly and sufficiently.
- Keep up to date the branch T-card system and all incoming and outgoing of the branch.
- To assume other responsibilities as required and work with colleagues to further the overall performance of the Company.

It is essential to have a full mechanical apprenticeship, have pump specific knowledge as well as having experience in rotating equipment. Good engineering experience ranging from bench fitting to on site diagnosis and supervisory of a small team is also essential
