An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Workshop Manager to join a well-established Award Winning vehicle hire company in Bristol.

They are currently building a new workshop in the heart of Bristol and are looking for someone to be responsible for the maintanance and road worthiness of our diverse fleet of 50 vehicles.

The ideal candidate will have experience working as a senior HGV fitter role and will have good organizational/man management skills and also be able to have a "hands on" approach to help where needed.

Duties will include:

- Keeping the fleet of vehicles up to the DVSA standards, ensuring that all paperwork and health and safety documentation is correctly completed.
- Day to day organizing of a team of fitters.
- Communication with Operations regarding workload/staff availability
- Ensure all health and safety policies are being followed.
- Liaising with Operations manager regarding scheduled work.
- Communication with Transport Controller regarding lorry down time, scheduled or unplanned.
- Control of oil stores/grease stocks on site.
- Control of parts being ordered.
- Weekly workshop health & safety inspections.
- Planning scheduled maintenance for own and Customers vehicles.
- Delivering Tool Box talks.
- Ability to use Microsoft office applications.

Skills and Experience Required
- HGV Class two License (Essential)
- Hands On LGV Mechanical Experience (Essential )
- Supervisory Experience (Essential )
- IOSH - Managing Safety - Level 4 or similar (Desirable)
