Resulting from a period of continued growth this company is currently looking to recruit a Works Manager into the operations team to manage all day to day operations of a busy steel fabrication facility associated with a diverse range of light to medium industry applications.

The company are seeking an experienced individual with good leadership and organizational skills. This is a fast pace environment which would suit someone who likes to be involved, can work autonomously and is eager to achieve great results.

The successful applicant would be expected to fulfill the following roles.

Responsible for the overall organisation, management direction and control of all factory departments to ensure that production output is maximized achieving all output targets in terms of quantity, quality and unit costs. To ensure works are in accordance with all health, safety and quality standards.

Job Responsibilities:
- Direct and control all factory operatives to ensure that they are motivated, trained and competent to carry out their responsibilities to the required standards.
- Schedule and co-ordinate all aspect of production operations ensuring all delivery targets are achieved.
- Develop all necessary policies and procedures to ensure that plant and equipment is effectively maintained to ensure maximum production efficiency.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with suppliers.
- Assist in negotiating contracts with suppliers to ensure the cost-effective provision of services to the factory.
- Develop and implement short and long-term plans to ensure that the factory has the necessary resources to meet business objectives.
- Develop effective working relationships with all employees to ensure the maintenance of harmonious employee relations within the factory.
- Monitor and control the factory budget to ensure that all financial and business objectives are met.
- Ensure all quality management systems are adhered to.
