They are looking for a Workspace designer with experience in interior design working within commercial office sector, ideally you will need experience of the complete project cycle from pitch, brief through to construction and proven experience in activity based working. As a creative designer with a sincere interest and passion for design, you should also have good product, furniture and finishes knowledge, be commercially minded and have knowledge of building regulation standards.

Key Duties:

- You will work closely with our Directors and workplace consultancy team to lead the design aspect of workplace projects including but not limited to:
- Liaise with the client to understand clients' needs and the needs of the people using the building to develop design concepts and establish final briefs
- Develop initial ideas and acquire key information about potential projects, discuss requirements in detail with clients (the brief) and set project schedules
- Conduct feasibility studies for projects
- Research and gather information and photographs relating to the project
- Produce 'sample' or 'mood' boards for client presentation
- Develop initial design concepts for presentation to the client, preparing mood boards, concept plans, 3D sketches and other presentation material as necessary
- Source products, e.g. fittings, furniture, lighting, finishes, decoration and dressing, and provide samples for clients
- Prepare detailed working drawings, designs, plans, models and schemes, often using computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Where required, work in a team with other Designers

The ideal candidate would have the following skills:
- Ability to create full proposal documents including, brief, 2D plans, 3D visuals
- Space planning
- Conceptual design
- Furniture specification and procurement
- AutoCAD
- 3D visualisation software
- Photoshop and InDesign
- Other graphical & presentational skills including creation of mood boards
- Coordinating building services with other Designers

And the following traits:

- Commercially aware, able to manage within budgets & ensure profitability
- Professional, able to act with urgency, be responsive to change and able to adapt to changing client demands
