This is a 2-month contract with a view to becoming permanent. Rate of pay will be £17 per hour working a minimum of 37.5 hours per week.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and commercially driven Working Site Foreman to join a leading bespoke exhibition stand specialist based in Blackburn Lancashire.

The successful candidate must be extremely organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to organise and schedule all projects to meet build deadlines. You will be required to work out and order materials according to detailed drawings. Your joinery skills will encompass the abilities required to manufacture bespoke exhibition stands.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have a flexible approach to meet workload requirements. Joinery and/or shopfitting experience is essential.

You must have the ability to effectively manage internal teams and external suppliers and contractors to initiate full delivery and execution of each project.

Tenacious and enthusiastic by nature your assertive but personable style is suited to engaging the spirit of teamwork across the business within this rapidly expanding company.

Key Responsibilities:-

- To be responsible for planning the schedule for production and overseeing the quality control to ensure all projects achieve the manufacture deadline.
- Problem solving and managing risk to avoid delays
- Managing workshop and fitting teams
- Ability to challenge and encourage colleagues to improve processes and efficiencies and ensure timely delivery of projects
- Advise on future resource requirements ensuring effective planning of staff requirements
- Reporting regularly on progress to the Managing Director
- Ensure safe working practices

Skills & Experience Required:-

- Experience of Exhibition stand manufacture/shop-fitting - Essential
- Excellent Management skills
- An adaptable approach is necessary to meet the clients changing needs
- Ability to co-ordinate multiple tasks and projects accordingly
- A Strong Pro Active Leader with Excellent People Skills and ability to develop and empower staff
- Customer focused
- A Health & Safety qualification would be desirable
- Carpentry and Joinery qualifications are essential
- Clean Driving licence
