This Microsoft Gold Partner provides transformative services for their customers focused on Microsoft Cloud for Office 365, Mobile Device Management, Operations Management and Azure. They work with their customers to enact change, achieve outcomes by getting the most out of the technology and building enduring relationships.

They are working with a global organisation who require Windows Automation to deliver a desired state for an in house developed solution. The Windows Automation will need to build and maintain the configuration of Windows Server 2016, SQL Server 2017, IIS, Windows Server Harding and Active Directory on AWS.

The role is based predominately based in their offices in Basingstoke although some travel to Reading will also be required.

Functional Responsibilities:
- Script Design, Script automation for build, configuration, operations and management of Windows 2016 and SQL Server
- Development of operating system build processes
- Design, delivery, script automation for build, configuration, operations and management of platform security, including networks and endpoints
- Authoring of associated script, design and implementation documentation
- Evaluation of new technologies and processes with justification to allow effective decision making for stakeholders.
- Ensure data security, network access control and encryption standard are delivered
- Design, management and script automation of Active Directory.
- Liaison and engagement with third-parties and integration to hosting and back-office systems

Technical Skills
- Excellent PowerShell scripting, JSON scripting and templating
- Knowledge of Windows PowerShell DSC and BPA
- Experienced in Bootstrap and Packer
- Understanding of how tasks should be automated.
- Creating and managing documentation.
- Microsoft platforms including Windows Server 2016/ IIS / SQL Server Clustering
- Good understanding of TCP/IP.
- Active Directory Security/Group Policy.
- Amazon Web Services or Azure. S3\Azure Blob
- Cloud platforms (IaaS/PaaS).
- Understanding of the use of version and source control systems eg. Git, VSTS.
- Working knowledge of configuration management system eg SCCM, Puppet, Chef or Ansible.

Personal Skills
- Experience within the Financial Sector would be beneficial
- Attention to detail / comprehensive documentation and ownership of execution within defined timeline
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Full UK Driving License
