Job Summary:
Position: Welding Co-ordinator. Full-Time, Permanent role

Hours: Monday – Thursday 7.30am – 4.00pm, Friday 8.00am – 1.30pm. 37.5-hour working week

Location: Landor Street, Saltley, Birmingham

Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 (dependent upon experience)

Holidays: 23 Days’ Holiday per annum + Bank Holidays, Pension Scheme, on-site secure free car parking

This company is looking to appoint an experienced Welding Co-ordinator for a full-time role within an expanding business. Duties within this role will include; responsibility for all the internal production welding activities, ensure each welder has the relative certificates, keep a database of all certificates and of evidence, purchase any items required for welders, assist in new and problem welds, welding surveillance on the shop floor, perform weekly / monthly toolbox talks and provide training to the welders

Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for a team of welders
- Training welders/preparation of welding qualifications
- Assist the Implementation and maintenance of welding stand EN 15085 CL 2
- Experience in TIG/ MIG & MAG welding

Basic Requirements
- Extensive Knowledge of welding standard EN 15085 CL2.
- Able to read and work from Engineering / CAD Drawings
- Experience in PCN welding inspection Level 2
- Certified to CSWIP level 3.0 or 3.1 welding Inspection
- Eye for Detail and pride in manufacturing aesthetically pleasing products.
- Previous welding experience is essential

Desirable Qualities
- Knowledge of quality standard ISO 9001 is an advantage.
- Previous of supervising welding workshops would be a significant advantage
- Prior knowledge of Progress Plus system
- NVQ Level 2 or above in manufacturing would be advantageous
