They are seeking an confident, experienced Systems Engineer / Linux Expert to join their motivated team in Poole, Dorset.
As Systems Engineer, you will work on the analysis, deployment, and maintenance of various different systems for corporate and production usage on their servers. You will take part in challenging projects to scale up their infrastructure.
You would also ensure uptime by making the right choice at all stages of the project lifecycle. You can for example define hardware needs and discuss design choices, work on optimising and always improving their solutions.
You’ll be working with their operations director and development team. Your responsibilities will include the following:
Systems analysis
- Analyse the needs of the company in terms of systems
- Devise the best solutions (new & exisitng)
System maintenance
- Maintain the systems security and integrity
- Improve and maintain the current infrastructure including reducing costs
Systems deployment
- Plan and deploy systems following best practices
- Liaise with the company directors regarding the acquisition of required hardware/software needed to meet the requirements of the business
