An opportunity to join the growing team at this leading Web Design, Digital Marketing and eCommerce Website specialist and work in their brand new offices in Exeter City Centre. You’ll be joining a team who like to bring fun into their jobs but with a serious focus on delivering first class websites for their clients. Ideally, they are looking for someone to work full time with them. Their core hours are 9-5 but they are pretty flexible to fit in with your commitments. After 3 months you’ll be able to join their company pension scheme and enjoy the benefits of an NHS Top Up facility. And you always get your birthday off as well.

Background

They are looking for a PHP/MySQL Developer responsible for managing and developing back-end services for clients’ websites. Your primary focus will be the development of custom-built systems to help drive their clients’ websites, developing sites in Wordpress, Magento and CS-Cart as well as custom integrations with third party applications like SagePay and Stripe. You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your co-workers into websites. Therefore, a good understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well.

Who they want

Ideally you’ll be a PHP/MySQL developer who has a good level of commercial experience, writes good quality code and can hit the ground running to help develop client applications. They need you to write high quality, fast PHP and MySQL to a high standard, in a timely and scalable way. This role requires the developer to produce custom sites and applications for clients using frameworks like Laravel and Symfony so experience in developing using frameworks like these would be hugely advantageous.

You will be a part of a creative team that is responsible for all aspects of the ongoing website development from the initial specification, through to designing, developing, testing and launching.

- A real drive to deliver the best design and coding practices and a desire to develop new ideas
- A structured approach to problem solving and a keen focus on delivering the highest standards of customer service
- Solid understanding of the need to develop secure and maintainable code
- Track record of delivering projects on time and on budget
