This “tech for good” agency works on a range of exciting and life-changing digital projects, including building

- apps to make sex workers safer,
- apps to help prevent trips and falls in older people,
- apps to make it easy to donate unwanted goods to charity,
- web-based platforms to help the community access under-utilised resources like transport and venues,
platforms to help businesses and investors measure their impact on society
…and so much more.

They are looking for a web developer with a minimum of 2 years’ experience building web and mobile applications to join them in creating these apps, services and business-critical systems for organisations across the country.

Duties

- Liaise with Project Team members and clients
- Create application and database design & architecture
- Estimate tasks and contribute to project features
- Work with cross-discipline teams
- Build bespoke applications and services
- Setup and maintain CMS, CRM systems

Desired skills / experience

- Be self-motivated with a positive “can do” attitude
- Experience with one or more of the following languages and platforms: .Net, PHP, JavaScript, Android (Java), iOS (swift, objective c, Cordova
- Experience with MVC, MVVM and other design patterns
- An understanding of the build chain process
- An understanding / experience of the Secure Development Life Cycle
- Use of DVCS such as Git or Mercurial
- Ability to understand, maintain and extend existing projects.
- Experience with language and cross platform development frameworks
- Have excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills, strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.

Additional but not essential
- Experience of XHTML / HTML5 / CSS3
- Experience using APIs such as Flickr, PayPal, MailChimp
- Experience of (or a desire to) develop for mobile devices.
- Experience working in a cross discipline development team.
