This is an opportunity to join a content marketing agency. They are an energetic creative team that includes editors, designers and account managers. They create great content for brands and this helps them connect with their audiences. Understanding clients and having an enthusiasm for them and the work they do – as well as a passion for digital – is key to this role.

This is a diverse role where no two days are likely to be the same. It mixes client interaction with some strategic thinking around digital propositions, as well as pure development. They are looking for someone articulate and confident who enjoys working as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have bags of initiative, a cool head when the pressure is on, and a keenness to stay on top of the latest digital trends.

Your work will involve:

- Taking designs and implementing sites in ExpressionEngine, our preferred CMS, or other platforms like WordPress and Craft.
- Production, modification and maintenance of client websites other digital projects
- Performing front-end JavaScript and jQuery development
- Working closely with and incorporating feedback from stakeholders & account managers
- Creating mockups and wireframes of proposed designs and user stories

What they need from you:

- Professional web development experience
- Extensive knowledge of HTML5 and CSS
- Strong command of jQuery and other JavaScript frameworks
- Intimate knowledge of cross-browser compatibility, web standards, accessibility and -
SEO best practices
- Commitment to writing efficient, well-commented, and maintainable code
- Solid understanding of JSON, XML and interacting with public APIs
- Ability to build rich AJAX interfaces
- Skills in Photoshop or similar design software
- Strong knowledge of usability and user experience (UX) design
- Good eye for layout, composition, and typography
- Experience developing mobile-optimised web applications including responsive design
- Ability to understand a design and extend it to areas not defined in a comp
- Ability to clearly explain digital concepts to your colleagues and clients
