Front End Developer

You'll be working closely with developers to create front-end interactions for their custom multi-award-winning Learning Management System (it’s basically an online learning portal, with a huge amount of functionality). You'll also be designing and creating the front-end of Genie, their custom built eLearning Authoring Tool. There’s lot to do and plenty of scope for you to flex your creative muscles in the fight against dull online learning!
Essential Requirements
Qualifications
Educated to degree level in a related subject
Experience
At last 3 years’ experience in web/front-end design: experienced in creating responsive sites in HTML5 and CSS3.
Knowledge/Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management skills
- Competent in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator
- Understanding of design principles and processes
- Use of current coding and web accessibility standards
- Ability to use Javascript and jQuery framework (including AJAX)
- Experience integrating with server-side code to produce dynamic pages
- Understanding of PHP and MySQL, or a desire to learn
Desirable requirements
- Experience working on large projects as part of a team
- Knowledge of an MVC framework (we use Laravel)
- Experience of working with a version control system such as Git
