Website Designer
This growing digital design and marketing agency requires an enthusiastic web designer with WordPress experience, proven in creating fabulous web experiences across devices and platforms.
You’ll be part of their in-house team of handpicked creative geniuses and marketing gurus. They love new ideas and they are passionate about improving all the time, so there’s a real opportunity for the right individual to flourish here as the company grows. Of course you’ll need a cool head, good sense of humour and a creative, but problem solving mindset.
You’ll need to know WordPress well and be comfortable eating it for breakfast, lunch and tea. You’ll be motivated by creating amazing digital experiences and have a proven track record of creating bespoke, responsive websites that perform well on desktop, tablet and mobile.
You’ll be joining a company who are passionate about making a difference to their clients and totally nuts about delivering not just good, but fantastic digital experiences. The Role
- Concept creation in Photoshop, wire framing and prototyping
- Designing bespoke, responsive WordPress themes from scratch
- Site construction, content input, image manipulation and polishing
- Working closely with clients to exceed their expectations and meet the brief
- Customisation of ‘off the shelf’ themes on smaller projects
- Client meetings, including some WordPress training
- Other design / creative tasks as required in the studio
Specific skills and abilities
- Exceptional front end design skills and a creative eye
- Good client facing, presentation and verbal reasoning skills
- Excellent Photoshop, typography and digital layout skills
- Confident with WordPress, HTML 5 and CSS 3
- Some knowledge of PHP, JQuery and JavaScript would be an advantage

- Experience with WordPress including installation, configuration, admin, security and backups

- Willingness to roll up sleeves and muck in to get the job done
