An enthusiastic, bright, hard working web designer is required to join this busy digital agency. Whilst this is initially a contract position to cover maternity leave, permanent employment may be considered at a later stage for the right candidate
Based in Winscombe (BS25) nestled in the Mendips between Bristol, Weston-Super-Mare, and Cheddar, they make websites for international organisations, tech start ups, and all types of businesses inbetween. Their working day is 9am - 5.30pm but if you need flexible hours within those times it's quite likely that can be accommodated. They would love you to start ASAP.
The right candidate for this job would be conscientious, quick to understand a brief and understand a client's requirements, a whizz at PhotoShop and ideally Illustrator, have a super keen eye for detail, and be intune with UX. Rather than just a pretty picture, their designs need to be easy to use, thought through for all devices and usually search engine optimised. The client's marketing message needs to shine through. You'll be meeting with clients and presenting your concepts to them. If you can code too that'd be fantastic.
To work here you need a strong passion for the web - they love to help nurture that and give you experienced guidance and support to move forward with your career. You'd have regular reviews and one-to-one catch ups. They also try to get out of the office at least once a month - even if it's just a breakfast meeting - so as to keep ideas flowing and creativity high!
