This wholesaler of Power Tools and Accessories is looking to recruit a Web Content Specialist. The primary responsibility for this position is to create, deploy, update, and manage web content for all storefronts and brands. Regular site maintenance of web content including copy, pricing, images, custom functionality, navigation, categorization, basic search optimization, and reporting.

This individual may also be tasked to work with other internal teams to work on special / ad-hoc projects that deal with the expansion and improvements of all sites that affect the overall traffic and revenue of their sites. Project status and roadblocks will be reported to their Line Manager so they can be addressed.

Responsibilities:

- Primarily responsible for content modifications, additions, deletions and implementing approved digital enhancements within a web-based content management system.
- Confidence and competence in the use of various methods to facilitate the compilation of product data from numerous remote disparate sources in an agile fashion.
- To be responsible for supporting end users and running the website(s) systems on a day-to-day basis.
- To provide prioritised technical support and advice regarding the business website(s) across the organisation internally including the creation and maintenance of accounts and user permissions.
- Willingness to carry out other duties commensurate with the level of the post as required.
- Demonstrable understanding and execution of best practice methodologies.
- Being a self-motivated, team player, thorough and committed to their customers and the business.
- Ability to carry out fault identification and resolution for both hardware and software issues.
- Creating and edit images using software tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator or Adobe InDesign.
- Confidence and competence in own ability to maintain and organise a number of concurrent tasks.
- Distributing and communicating effectively both written and oral instructions and advice in order to effectively connect with a wide variety of staff regarding the publication of information on the web.

Essentials:

- Experience of Adobe Creative Suite.
- A good understanding of commercial and open source CMS systems and e-commerce workflows.
- Ability to demonstrate good problem solving skills and follow instructions accurately while remaining calm under pressure.
- Must be able to work effectively both as a team member and independently.
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Word, Excel, Gmail, Internet Explorer and PowerPoint
- Knowledge and experience with HTML, CSS, web analytics, and content management systems is a plus
- Knowledge of multimedia/creative: e.g., interactive/web content, digital graphics/optimization.
- Creativity, originality and an eye for detail.
