Job Overview
Following continued expansion of this companies website they have decided to expand the role into a permanent position in the business which is dedicated to the website and the various workstreams it presents. This company is fast becoming a leading e-commerce footwear retailer in the UK, leads the Scottish market and is expanding into international markets.
Hours
Depending on the number of roles & responsibilities (see below) the successful candidate is capable to take on, the contract offered will vary from part to full time (35-40 hours/week). The role is widely varied and they will therefore consider applicants who may not have the skills or experience to complete all the responsibilities listed below.
Qualifications
- The candidate will be required to have a high quality of written English, creative flair, an excellent attention to detail and a desire to learn.
- Though the role will primarily be office based, it will require customer relationship management and may be front end facing on occasion. Sales experience is therefore advantageous.
- Ideally the candidate will have experience with style guides, business writing and online editing. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, basic HTML and web content management is beneficial.
- Working experience of Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom & or InDesign is preferred
- Fluent in languages is not essential but a bonus in assisting with our international expansion plans
- Basic photographic knowledge and experience would assist with photography using our Scancube lightbox though isn’t essential.
Training
- On the job training will be a key part of the first 3 months in the role as we recognise the diversity of the skills and experience we would like
Roles & Responsibilities may include:
- Product description writing for all shoes, handbags and accessories on the website
- Blog writing (using Wordpress) and other content creation work
- Photography of all styles on website
- Graphic design
- Videography assistance
- Website diagnostics work
- Liaising with affiliate marketing partners
- Translations (if the candidate is fluent in any of the following languages - German, Spanish, French, Italian, Russian or Chinese)
- Customer enquiries
- Live Chat engagement with customers (online sales)
- Phone sales
