Grade 6 = £24,657 - £28,221
Full time – 35 hours per week. Based in North Manchester

They have an exciting new opportunity for a Waste and Recycling Officer to join their new Waste and Recycling Team. As a Waste and Recycling Officer you will work closely with their Neighbourhood Housing Teams and Manchester City Council in order to increase awareness of recycling throughout their estates and proactively work to reduce environmental crime such as fly-tipping as well as proactively dealing with problem “grot spots” throughout our areas. You will problem solve these issues using relevant action plans and a partnership working approach to ensure issues are resolved.

This stimulating role gives you the opportunity to really make an impact; supporting people to increase recycling and take more care in their local environment. You will achieve this by building solid relationships with residents and colleagues in Manchester City Council, in particular, the Compliancy Team.

You will be a natural problem solver, enabler and well organised. You will be a strong team player as well as confident and productive when working alone. You must be proactive, inquisitive and want to make a difference to north Manchester.

Applicants will work closely with colleagues internally, such as the Neighbourhood Housing Teams and externally with their key partners, Manchester City Council and Biffa. You will need to be an excellent communicator, approachable, friendly and when required, assertive and knowledgeable.

You must have a full driving licence as access to a car is required on a daily basis
