This family run distribution business based in Trafford Park is looking for a Team Leader to join their team in their fast-paced warehouse. You will be working closely with the shift managers to ensure the smooth running of your dept.
You will be responsible for managing a team of up to 30 warehouse operatives at peak times, ensuring that all orders are picked, packed & distributed in priority order & within set targets & to the highest standard. You will oversea the offloading on containers & ensure that the products are checked off correctly & put into tock in a timely manner.
- Maintain good levels of communication at all levels
- Responsible for all direct activities of warehouse staff within your dept including picking/packing/ offloading containers.
- Liaise with other departments of the business with queries that may arise: QC/s. control/Sales etc
- Leading and motivating your team to achieve your KPI’s
- Ensure service levels are met & customers’ orders are despatched within the allocated time frame.
- Managing performance & absence,
- To see that Health & Safety regulations are adhered to
- Ensure warehouse housekeeping standards are maintained.

- Demonstrates a high degree of attention to detail
- Must be able to prioritise jobs to ensure deadlines are met
- Ability to plan & think strategically
- Be flexible & proactive in their approach to work
- Monitors workload to ensure targets are met at all cost
- They will be an excellent communicator with staff & management
- A focus on health & safety; making sure you and your team operate in a safe place to work
- PC literate (Word/Excel)
- Team Leader experience in a similar warehouse role for a minimum of 2 years
- A FLT licence would be desirable.
£18,772 - £20,155 Dependant on experience
Monday - Friday 9.30 - 6pm/ 5.30pm Fridays. Some flexibility is required to cover holidays etc
Trafford Park.
