This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast growing, dynamic company. They are currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to further strengthen their Stock Replenishment team based in Barnsley.
This is a hands-on position in a busy warehouse with multiple customer orders being dispatched daily. The successful Team Leader will need to provide efficiency and accuracy in order to successfully supervise and motivate a team of warehouse Stock Replenishment/Picking and boxing up operatives. The successful candidate will have strong communication and people skills. They will display a high level of customer service and have evidence of improving and managing warehouse KPI’s. They will also have the opportunity to deputise to cover the warehouse supervisor.
Responsibilities include:
- Liaising with senior management and reporting issues.
- Managing time and resources within the warehouse operation
- Working alongside the Warehouse team leaders to improve efficiency, pick accuracy and KPI’s.
- Take responsibility for cycle counts, stock adjustments and returns.
- Undertake employee relations duties such as investigations, disciplinary and return to work meetings.
Essential to the role requires:
- Experienced Warehouse Team Leader with people management experience.
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Good inter-personal skills, problem solver and have a desire to continuously develop the team and department.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines whilst managing time and resources.
- Good organisational skills
- Computer literate, including good MS Office experience
Additionally, it would be desirable if candidates possess a Bendi/Flexi truck licence.
