Team Leader, (Night Shift) £10.86 ph (Market or Retail Unit)
Full-time positions working 5/6 shifts per week, between 21:00 - 06:00 on a rota system. Some weekend working is required.
You will be working as a Team Leader (Night Shift) for a highly successful & expanding business that supplies fresh produce & fine foods to the catering industry across the south west. This is a busy team leader role where you will be responsible for the smooth running of the retail unit/market picking shift team and supporting management with driving high levels of people performance.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out 1-2-1 meetings with team
- Collaborate with members of Night Shift Operation to achieve company goals and KPIs
- Manage waste and recycling materials disposal
- Complete H&S & quality checks, reporting stock shortages & incidents
- Assemble customer orders, amend tickets, mark out of stock products & assign customer details
- Ensure high levels of production, accuracy and efficiency in picking process (Market)
- Ensure accuracy and quality of picks, administration tasks, loading of vans, cleanliness and safety of work environment and reporting of quality issues (Market)
Skills & Experience:
- Team management experience within a customer focused night operation preferred
- Solid understanding of disciplinary and grievance procedures
- Physically fit, able to lift 25kg
- Good working knowledge of Health and Safety procedures is essential
- Ability to utilise initiative in ever changing situations
- A high level of team working & excellent communication skills
- Able to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
- Computer literate, able to swiftly understand new IT systems
- Current FLT licence (desirable)
- Working knowledge of fresh produce
- Experience of working in a chilled or outdoors environment
Salary: £10.86 ph + benefits including 20 days’ holiday + 8 days’ Bank Holiday pay, company pension, health care, discounted produce, Christmas food box etc.
