Warehouse Supervisor

The role requires a real team player who is able to utilise their experience in managing the warehouse team, planning and prioritising work activities
The warehouse supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the department works efficiently on a day to day basis, while supervising and motivating a team of 10 warehouse operatives.
Duties will include implementing and monitoring warehouse procedures while reporting to the Group Distribution Manager.
Skills and Experience:
- Must have previous experience of managing a team and have the ability to motivate and communicate effectively
- Liaise between other departments
- Good IT skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- FLT licence (either counterbalance or reach) would be an advantage
- Monitoring the offloading and loading of wagons
- Keeping in line with the correct procedures for incoming and outgoing stock in to the warehouse
- An IOSH qualification would be highly desirable
Hours of work (42.5 hrs per week):
Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm, with a daily ½ hr lunch break.
10 minutes morning break and 10 minutes afternoon break
