This company is one of the UK’s leading distributors of Electronic Office Supplies with a turnover of £125m and over 130 employees based in Bradford. This company is part of a Pan-European group with offices in France, Germany, Holland, Italy and Spain and a group turnover in excess of €900m.
They are looking for a Warehouse Despatch Supervisor with previous experience within a Warehouse Supervisory role. The individual needs to be highly motivated, have an eye for detail and be able to encourage teamwork and best practice.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Proven track record of working against targets and deadlines
- Proven Leadership qualities
- Good motivational skills
- Good Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations
- Ability to Lead and motivate the team (Teambuilding)
- Proven ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Must be prepared to undertake further training
- Fork lift/Reach truck qualifications
- Warehouse Management systems experience (not essential)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and ensure that all orders are met on time and accurately
- Ensure that all orders are despatched to customer’s specifications
- Ensure that all pick face is replenished to a constant satisfactory stock level
- Ensure that quality levels stay within set tolerance
- Housekeeping is at satisfactory level
- Ensure that all orders are despatched to customer’s specifications
- Ordering and keeping correct stock levels of packaging materials
- Assist DCM to obtain most cost effective traffic carriers
- Setting and review of monthly bonus with line Manager
- Daily reporting
SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS
- Jobholders will be expected to work up to 2 weekends per year for stocktaking
- Jobholders will be expected to have certain levels of flexibility to meet business needs
- The Jobholder may be asked to swap shifts with other Supervisors within the Distribution Centre to gain further knowledge and experience of the business.
- The Jobholders will be expected to attend any out of hours Teambuilding exercises
