Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor
Reporting To: Warehouse Manager
Responsible For: Warehouse Operatives

The distribution centre is based in Oldbury, Birmingham and holds thousands of pieces of furniture at any one time. This ensures that the customer orders are dispatched within days of ordering.

The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for supervising a team of Warehouse Operatives ensuring items are distributed to customer on time. This is a hands-on role, where you will be required to oversee all warehouse operations, supervise team performance and adhere to company standards.

Main Duties
- Supervise a team of Warehouse Operatives by assigning appropriate tasks, scheduling work, coaching, communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising and adhering to policies and procedures.
- Meeting the warehouse operational standards improving productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying warehouse system improvements.
- Maintains the storage area by organizing floor space and recommending improvements.
- Secure the warehouse by adhering to the locking up procedure including turning alarms on.
- Keeps equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; requiring preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.

To be successful in this role you will have had previous warehouse supervisory experience, a strong team player, excellent communicator, able to deal with complex, deadline orientated work, have good time management and strong organisational skills.
