£18,000 - £20,000 pro rata

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor 60+ team within this trade only security wholesaler.

This role is a Monday to Friday position with working hours between 10.30am to 7.30pm. Their Warehouse Department is an integral part of their company where 100’s of parcels are dispatched to their established customer base every day.

Good Initiative, common sense and a passion for customer excellence are key attributes of this role. Experience and knowledge of medium to large Distribution operations is essential, preferably in a Supervisory capacity.

Key responsibilities;
- To monitor, supervise and assist the team regarding productivity and accuracy of receipt, storage, picking, checking and dispatching of stock.
- To maximize physical space by the effective location of new stock and the re-locating of existing stock, if required.
- To assist in the training of the team in all aspects of the Warehouse Procedures to ensure all can be multitasked to complete their functions to the best of their ability.
- To ensure that the team spirit is maintained within the department in order to maintain high standards.
- To maintain housekeeping at the required high standard, ensuring that cleaning rota’s are adhered to, premises and fixtures must be kept in a clean and tidy condition.
- To check shelf stock is rotated and maintained at the set levels, being replenished from bulk when required.
- To check all the team are wearing the supplied safety shoes and issued uniform and to assist in training all staff in safe working practice and in selecting correct device for the purpose e.g.: Trolley, Fork Lift or other such equipment available.
- Motivating, organizing and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure set targets are met
- In the absence of the Warehouse Manager, hold regular Team Briefings with Team Leaders and Staff on the issues for that particular day and to assist with periodical 1-2-1 reviews to assess and improve performance;
- To investigate Warehouse Errors and carry out and record details of meetings with responsible staff and agree any preventative actions
