Warehouse / Purchasing Operative
This is an opportunity to join an Essex based family owned kitchen furniture installation company providing high quality products and service.
They have a vacancy for a Warehouse / Purchasing operative to work with the Project Management team.
You will be quick thinking, self-motivated, have good computer and numeracy skills, a clean driving licence and work to changing schedules. Prioritising and managing your workload is vital.
Previous experience with kitchen furniture orders, manual handling and warehouse logistics would be beneficial but not essential.
Duties would include but not be limited to:-
- Handling and checking goods in / out of warehouse.
- Picking orders.
- Booking in on the computer system and creating delivery notes.
- Checking all items ordered for correct installation dates.
- Assisting with co-ordinating deliveries out of the warehouse.
- Handling kitchen furniture and appliances as part of a two-man team.
- Checking stock levels for fitters’ vans.
- Actioning remedial items.
- Checking all confirmations against drawings and orders for furniture, appliances and sundries.
- Driving and delivery duties during holiday periods.
- Ensuring a flexible common-sense approach to Health and Safety.
