This 20 year old company is a fast growing leading wholesaler of structural screws in the building and construction industry. They own two key brands and are the UK sole importer for two further brands, all four are the leaders in their specific categories. Their Head Office in Linton houses their sales and management teams and provides a base for Area Sales Managers and their 10,000 sqft Warehouse in Marden is the hub of their repackaging and distribution centre. They are in exciting times and are expanding their sales force and warehousing team quickly to manage the demand of their growing customer base across the UK. They are currently recruiting to fulfill multiple operations positions in their warehouse team.
Daily duties include:
- Loading and unloading containers
- Repackaging bulk hardware by hand into specific pack quantities ready for re-sale
- Racking screws into fixtures ready for head painting at their powder coating facility
- Picking and packing ready for despatch
- Handing over shipments to couriers
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Maintaining the high personal and professional standards of the company
- Operating Forklift truck (training provided)
- Manual handing of goods including lifting
- Maintaining health and safety standards within the operating environment
- Reporting directly to the Operations Manager
As well as general warehouse duties the right candidate will be able to:
- Take ownership of the entire process from accepting bulk into the warehouse through to despatch.
- Offer and implement agreed suggestions and ideas regarding improvements to the process
- Offer and implement agreed ideas on how to minimize waste within the process.
- Speak read and fully understand English language
- Take great care and hold personal pride in delivering perfect products to our very particular customers.
- Pay attention to detail in a fast moving goods environment where every single shipment is different and every individual box counts.
Hours of work are:
Mon-Fri 07:30-16:30
Hourly Rate
20 days holiday per year plus bank holidays and Christmas shut down
