This company has additional vacancies for Warehouse Operators to join their warehouse and distribution team based in Calne, Wiltshire. The prime purpose of this role is to accurately and efficiently pick customer orders.

If you are keen to learn and develop new skills you will be given training on industry specific trucks, enabling you to progress in operator level where you would also benefit with an increase in salary.

Key duties include:
- Working from picking lists, picks orders accurately and efficiently.
- Checks products for visual and physical defect or damage.
- Picks orders using a picking platform (once trained and licensed to do so)
- Checks picking machinery for any problems/defects at the beginning of the shift and logs details on the relevant check sheets.
- Logs numbers of orders completed during the shift and any problems.
- Completes all paperwork accurately and on time.
- Participates in stock counts.
- To load and unload lorries.
- Keeps work area neat and tidy at all time by undertaking routine housekeeping duties.
- Advises Team Leader of any problems likely to affect the efficiency of the warehouse.
- Uses Kinetic handling techniques at all times when lifting/handling product.
- Ensures all necessary documentation is completed accurately and promptly in accordance with Company procedure.
- Builds and develops good relationships with colleagues.
- Works in accordance with all health and safety instructions, notices and safe working practices.

The successful candidate will be:
- Experienced in the safe driving of a forklift counter balance truck (essential)
- Experienced within a warehouse or distribution department
- Able to lift/pull products from and to storage containers
- Able to pick orders from a written pick list
- Willing to work a in a shift rotation including nights
- A team player with a positive ‘can do’ attitude
- A good verbal and written communicator, clearly accepting and giving feedback on shift on tasks
- IT literate, able to learn and effectively utilise in-house databases/stores systems to a basic level
- Flexible and adaptable to the changing requirements of the shift

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, rotating shift pattern of: weeks of 6am – 2pm and 2pm - 10pm Monday to Friday and 10pm - 6 am Sunday to Thursday with ½ an hour break.
