This leading supplier of corporate branding and products to the promotional gift trade is looking for an experienced warehouse operative to add to their existing team.

Personality:
Self-motivated individual who can work as part of a team and use own initiative in a fast moving environment. A can do attitude and excellent communication skills are essential. Must have a flexible work attitude and willing to undertake additional duties in line with the needs of the business.

Essential Requirements:
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.

Specific Job Skills:
Ability to work with the sales/production teams:
It is essential to have a ‘can-do’ attitude and work closely with both customers and staff to ensure the smooth running of the warehouse/goods-in and despatch department.
You will be a good team player who shares knowledge, working collaboratively across all areas of the business.

Computer skills:
Must be adept in the use of MS Office 2010 or later with good working knowledge of Excel.

Job Objectives:
- Ensure the safe and efficient receipt, storage and despatch of goods and products to feed the business operations and customer demand.
- Work in a safe manner and comply with the companies Health & Safety and Environmental Policies.
- Provide first class customer service at all times
- Ensure stock reporting is accurate and maintain and update customer stock reports.

Responsibilities and main activities:
- Receiving, moving, checking and storing of incoming goods.
- Correctly labelling goods on arrival and prior to despatch.
- Selecting space for storage and arranging for goods to be stored in the designated locations.
- Loading and unloading lorries, vans and other vehicles.
- Contact various transport companies to coordinate collections and deliveries.
- Liaise with customers to ensure goods are despatched in line with their specific requirements.
- Deal with all customer queries relating to stock, despatches and related subjects.
- Report any discrepancies, breakages and shortages.
- Monitor stock levels and carry out regular stock takes.
- Accurately update data into computer and manual recording systems.
- Operate in a safe manner complying with all health, safety and environmental requirements to ensure own and safety of others.
