An exciting opportunity to join a young team in a fast growing, fast paced company.

This wholesale and distribution company who specialise in the sale of goods to online retailers, is looking for a hardworking, reliable and punctual person to join their warehouse team and help them take the department to the next level, they have recently relocated to a much larger premises, giving them a sharp increase in business and as a result they need to grow their warehouse team.

They work in a fun and lively environment on the Severalls industrial estate in Colchester where you will feel welcomed into the team instantly. Their office has been newly refurbished, with a staff room boasting an Xbox One and a pool table available to let off some steam at break times and your well being will be looked after with fortnightly massages and a well stocked kitchen.

The warehouse operative role is part of the Service, Delivery and Operations team. It is an important role to the business as it ensures their customer’s are happy by providing them with the goods they need on time. The warehouse team works close with their sales & customer service team to ensure that any requests or needs that the customer has are met to the best of their abilities. They take pride in offering the highest level of service to their customers, which the warehouse team plays a big part in. They are looking for someone who wants a career, a problem solver who wants to be part of creating something great, rather than someone who just wants a 9-5 job. Main Duties and Responsibilities:

- Receive goods in and store them safely and efficiently in the warehouses following a plan.
- Preparing orders for dispatch using an order system which involves picking the orders, wrapping appropriately for carriage and ensuring the orders leave the warehouse safely and correctly.
- Stock taking, storing, checking, packaging and moving of goods.
- Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and safe.
- Dealing with returns following a business process.
- Ensuring supply levels are always kept at the correct level, ordering in new supplies if needed.

Skills/ Knowledge/ Experience:

- Basic computer knowledge
- Strong and healthy
- Good organisational skills
- Warehousing experience is essential

Working hours:

Monday - Friday, 9am - 5.30pm
