This company is the industry leader in supplying the fast-fit industry with a comprehensive range of tyres and associated products.

Established in 1980, the company has grown rapidly over recent years, with around 300 staff and turnover in excess of £75 million. In the past couple of years, the company has opened two new major distribution hubs as part of its ambitious and on-going expansion strategy, extending their service from the North-West alone to now cover the whole of the Northern region.

The company is modern and dynamic with a strong focus on providing exceptional levels of customer service and value to the tyre trade. The Night Shift Warehouse Operative position would require you to either pick stock from a large warehouse or check stock in to the warehouse.

Responsibilities would include
- Picking a minimum of 400 tyres a day.
- Working from an iPad, picking products based on particular order references.
- Use of counterbalance and reach trucks if licenced to do so.
- Organising products for delivery in to the loading bays.
- Processing items in to stock.
- Processing returns.
- Reporting to the Night Shift Supervisor.
- Complying with health and safety rules.
- Complying with company policies.
- Keeping the warehouse tidy and ensuring all products/apparatus are left in a safe position at all times.
- All other warehouse related duties.
You must be organised and committed to operating in this physically demanding role at a very fast pace.

Days and Hours:
- 4 days a week; shift pattern to be decided by Night Shift Manager.
- 48 hours per week.
- 12 hour shifts.
- 6pm – 6am.

Requirements and conditions
- Employee must be reliable and have good attendance and punctuality records.
- Candidate must hold a driver’s licence. Clean full U.K driver’s licence is preferred (but we would consider candidates with endorsements depending on the number incurred and the nature of the offences committed.) No DR or IN endorsements will be permitted due to insurance requirements.
- Proof of right to work in the U.K (Photo ID and a recent utility bill will be requested at induction.)
- The company conducts regular drug and alcohol testing, which can include pre-employment testing.

Salary & Other Information
- 30 minute lunch break per day.
- FLT training is provided by the company but some experience is beneficial.
- Full training for the role will be provided.
- Equivalent of 20 days holidays (accrued pro-rata) plus all bank and public holidays.
- £7.50 per hour for first 12 months and £7.60 an hour thereafter. A 12.5% shift allowance will be added.
