These are distributed throughout the UK with a customer base including licensed, retail and catering outlets.
Due to continued expansion their family owned business have the following vacancy based at their Bradford head office.
They have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Warehouse Operative / General Assistant to join their expanding family owned business, based at their Bradford Head Office. You will be on a full time permanent contract, with a highly competitive salary of £17k reviewed following a successful probation period.
Working hours are Monday to Friday with a flexible approach.
This is a varied position as not only will you be based in the warehouse, you will also be kept busy assisting with other duties including but not limited too
- Undertaking stock deliveries
- Order picking and order delivery duties
- Be confident in speaking to their customers face to face and undertake some office tasks
The position will also require handling and rotating of date coded stock and ensuring accurate records are kept
The Warehouse Operative / General Assistant will have the following skills and attributes:
- Be organised and efficient whilst working to deadlines
- Be pro-active and enthusiastic
- Be willing to work at a high pace in a challenging and varied role
- Be able to work effectively on your own initiative and as part of a small but growing team
- Be willing to share new ideas
- Have strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Be computer literate - (Microsoft office and general PC use)
- Have previous experience in a similar environment
- Be physically fit
- Possess excellent communication & time management skills
- Be familiar with how warehouses operate and hold either a Counter Balance or a Reach Truck License
- Hold a full clean driving license
- Be eligible to work in the UK
- Be comfortable driving a large Sprinter size van
- Be smart in appearance with a high standard of personal hygiene - company uniform is provided following a probation period
As the Warehouse Operative / General Assistant you will be expected to undertake working hours, which are necessary for the proper performance of the duties assigned to you, this may necessitate from time to time, attendance outside the normal business hours of the site on which you are based. All hours may be varied to meet the needs of the business.
