As part of the Book Processing team to carry out physical processing in accordance with the customers’ Technical Services profile, and to invoice applicable product charges.
Key Responsibilities:
- To read and adhere to the customer physical processing requirements accurately
- To scan barcode data into system for spine label production
- Affix barcodes, security tags, spine and book labels and library stamps
- Apply book covers to paperbacks and sleeves to hardbacks
- Identify and process any title for the binders
- Process bound books on return from binders
- To carry out repairs
- To ensure physical processing is carried out to the highest level of quality
- Assist with the picking of books for book processing workflow when required
- Assist in the annual stock take
- Assist in other workflows during peak periods
Skills & Experience:
- Good secondary education, with sound numerate and written skills
- Good physical dexterity and coordination
- Good eye and attention for detail whilst meeting daily targets
- Good keyboard and computer skills
- Able to work as a strong team player
