Purpose
To lead the warehouse department through a group of team leaders ensuring customer service deadlines are met, costs are managed, work is performed efficiently, the workplace is kept safe, processes are followed and that there is a focus on continual improvement.

Responsibilities
- Overall accountability for the warehouse area in ensuring customer service expectations are delivered consistently
- Ensure the warehouse areas are managed in line with Health & Safety.
- Take ownership of the lean / CI projects to ensure there is a focus on continuous improvement which drives unit cost improvements, quality and service
- Drive the development and improvement of Standard Operating Procedures in all areas to ensure the business operates in a standardised way
- Maintain accurate information on key performance indicators for areas of responsibility and provide detailed reports where required. Use this information to share with the teams through performance charts and generate improvement ideas & actions
- Monitor and manage the usage and spend of materials in both areas to ensure savings are maximised
- Take responsibility of OTIF (On Time, In Full) for the warehouse and investigate failures, find root causes and implement corrective actions
- Ensure daily housekeeping standards are monitored and improved upon by working with the teams to keep improving the standards across the departments
- Monitor stock levels in all finishing & warehouse locations ensuring all stock is managed, locations are reported on and managed appropriately and that processes are in place to ensure stock accuracy of > 99% is maintained
- Lead the team in the Warehouse, supporting and developing the Team Leaders, to ensure that staffing structures are fit for purpose.
- Through the Team Leaders, ensure that all people policies are delivered, and that staff are developed in line with the company values.

Skills & Knowledge
- Excellent management and leadership skills
- Ability to coach others to build knowledge and understanding
- Knowledge of all Microsoft packages, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Experience of data analysis, problem solving and continuous improvement techniques
- Experience of working in a fast paced and evolving manufacturing environment
- Experience of textile manufacturing, warehouse and processing
- Knowledge and experience of internal quality, safety and environmental standards
- Knowledge and understanding of lean manufacturing principles and driving operational efficiency
