Main Responsibilities, tasks & duties:

- To oversee all aspects of the Goods In, Dispatch and Stock hold.
- Liaising Day to day with Purchasing and supply chain manager to suggest improvements in efficiency.
- To oversee and recommend improved systems to enable efficient and cost effective lean methods are utilised and OTIF is improved dramatically.
- To work closely with the other department managers to improve the effectiveness of the following areas Customer Service, Warehousing, Quality control, Logistics, Health and Safety.
- To work on a full time basis with the warehouse team to ensure that the Implementation of 5S and lean throughout the business is adhered to.
- Managing and leading the team effectively and taking responsibility for complete and seamless daily fulfilment of all KPI`s set by the Management.
- Ensuring that housekeeping and consumables are maintained.
- Ensure all working practices are carried out in a safe working environment.
- Manage all unloading of ISO containers.
- Receipt and processing of customer returns.
- Processing of orders for dispatch on the internal software system and ensuring that items are available for dispatch
- Managing stocktaking in the warehouse doing random checks and reporting
- Ensuring accuracy of pick and pack of orders
- Ensuring a high standard of packing is adhered to for all goods leaving the building
- To ensure good are dispatched in the most cost effective courier method.
- Organisation of same day courier runs where required
- Ensuring all doors are looked and equipment off at End of Day
- Providing training supervising and appraising staff.
- Managing budgets.
- Administering stock control and cyclical stock checks
- Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety legislation
