A small but fast growing pharmaceutical & sports supplement manufacturing company are looking for an ambitious person with a proactive attitude to managing warehouse operations and production planning. There is the requirement to work closely with the management team on projects giving scope for career progression and variety within the job.

You will be responsible for managing a team people and a modern warehouse which has integrated systems. The business has big plans to expand and your role will grow with this expansion. This is a great opportunity for an experienced manager who wants to further their career and a senior position within a rapidly growing business.

Candidate Requirements
- At least 2 years warehouse management experience
- Experience with Sage or other stock management systems
- GCSE’s of C or above in Maths, English & Science
- Relevant vocational qualifications such as BTEC, City & Guilds or NVQ
- Must be highly IT literate; with ability to input, retrieve and analyse data

Main Duties:
- Managing the team and communicating the business objectives to the staff to achieve daily results in line with their goals
- Organising the daily, weekly and monthly tasks.
- Operation of sage 50 software – specifically the sales order and stock modules
- Stock management, rotation and stock taking
- Enforcing correct procedures throughout the warehouse to meet quality standards such as GMP and food safety
- Managing the stock locations and optimising storage
- Liaising with the Key Account Executive and the production team to ensure the effective planning of manufacturing orders
- Working closely with the purchasing department overseeing purchase orders to ensure accurate product stock levels are maintained
- Using data to generate reports on forecasting of product re-order levels, frequencies and highlighting trends
- Assisting in the manufacturing of products when required
- Writing up SOP’s and applying best practices
- Training, supervising and appraising staff
- Liaising with senior management and presenting KPI reports

Essential Experience
- Working in a warehouse environment with at least one year in a managerial position
- Proven track record of managing & leading teams
- Producing reports & achieving KPI’s
- Stock control & forecasting
- Creating Manufacturing flows & SOP’s
- Using warehouse management software in a workplace environment
- Project management

The role is based at their HQ in Burnley, Lancashire and they offer a Salary £24,500 - £26,500 (based upon experience)
40hr per week 8.30am – 5.15pm Mon–Thu, 8.45am – 4.15pm Friday
