This established company designs and manufactures bespoke high-end residential and commercial furniture to prestigious clients throughout the Home Counties and London.

Their Head Office which incorporates the residential design studio and workshop is based in Penn Street near Amersham with a satellite office in Central London to manage commercial projects.

Due to high demand they are excited to be recruiting a skilled Warehouse Assistant/Driver to help support the Production Manager and workshop team based in Penn Street.

The ideal candidate will exhibit a high level of organisational skills, attention to detail, be able to take charge and ensure delivery deadlines are met.

The role will include the following responsibilities:

- Oversee and assist with the loading and unloading of deliveries.
- Check and sign for goods in, check the correct quantity and type of goods have been received.
- Maintain the goods in area, keeping it clear at all times.
- Liaise with the Production Manager to plan for upcoming delivery deadlines.
- Wrap and pack a wide range of items such as cabinets, tables, kitchens, bedroom furniture, boardroom furniture, reception desks, room panels, audio-visual units, study furniture etc
- Carry out quality checks during the wrap and pack, signing off an all relevant paperwork, ready to be handed to the site manager.
- Adjust shift hours to deliver goods to site.
- Assist the installation teams on site when required.
- General upkeep of the warehouse and workshop, adhering to a weekly cleaning rota consisting of sweeping, cleaning, replenishing supplies, emptying bins etc.
- Maintain the warehouse in a tidy state and clear away packing material and debris.
- Relocate and restock goods to make space for new deliveries.
- Make sure all stock is labelled and stored correctly.
- Report to the Production Manager and Office team when necessary.
- Ensure company Health & Safety policies are adhered to.
- Responsible for the upkeep and wearing of PPE.
- Flexible approach to working hours to ensure delivery deadlines are met.
- Available to occasionally work overtime (overtime rates paid).

Experience Required:

- Confident driving a 3.5t Luton locally and to Central London.
- Able to work to tight deadlines.
- Previously worked in a warehouse environment, furniture workshop also desirable.
- Great teamwork skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Plan delivery routes.
- Quality assurance experience.
- Hold a full clean UK driving Licence.

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: £18k to £24k – Negotiable, plus other benefits, including work clothes and a contributory pension scheme.
