This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, fast growing company. They are currently seeking an experienced Warehouse and Shipping Administrator who will further strengthen their team based in Barnsley.

You will be supporting the Shipping Manager and Warehouse Supervisor with processing customer orders and producing invoices and ensuring that all paperwork relating to deliveries are processed accurately and efficiently. You will work closely with the sales team and warehouse operatives and be responsible for preparing and completing all the necessary export paperwork as required for each country and ensure all goods are despatched correctly using the most appropriate carrier.

Your main duties will be:

- Working with the Shipping Manager, Warehouse Supervisor and staff, to receive and process customer orders at the point of despatch including delivery notes and invoices.
- To undertake general administrative duties to support the efficient and effective operation of the department. and process daily sales orders into the warehouse picking teams.
- Create invoices for all orders (UK, EU & Export)
- Raise commercial invoices including export declarations
- Raise and issue movement certificates such as EUR1/ATR1
- Liaise with carriers and other external stakeholders (Freight Forwarders, Chamber of Commerce)
- Filing of manifests and picking sheets
- Dealing with all aspects of post; ordering shipping supplies
- Checking purchase invoices relating to carriers
- Undertake other ad hoc duties as required supporting the effective operation of the business

It is essential that you have achieved at least 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English.

You must also have:

- Experience of working in a customer focused environment
- Experience of working as part of a team
- High level of Customer Service skills
- Strong IT skills – Microsoft office suite
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Good time management skills
- Attention to detail/accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Flexibility
