This consultancy are looking for an experienced vRealize Developer to join an existing team of developers and engineers working on-site with their global client. You should have extensive experience and expert technical knowledge of vRealize Automation design and configuration and vRealize Orchestrator workflow development. Experience of working within agile delivery organisations is preferred.

This role requires a calm and charismatic person who can work with staff and colleagues at all levels. You are a mentor and a team player. You are pedantic when it comes to documentation and handover so everything delivered is accurate and consumable.

Key Accountabilities
- Be the vRealize Technical Guru
- Help to develop a VMware Automation framework
- Help to realise the cloud strategy, think service design, devops processes etc
- Ensure maximum reliability and assure high availability is built in
- Consult with existing projects but also advise on potential new projects and help build business cases
- Presenting solutions to staff at all levels
- Develop and define standards, concepts and guidelines for the relevant application environments


Technical/Professional Skills (ideally would have certifications)
- Expert knowledge of VMware technologies (vRealize suite, vSphere, NSX)
- Extensive experience of vRealize Automation and Orchestrator 7.0 deployment and development
- Experience integrating VMware vRealize Automation with VMware Orchestrator and vCenter Server
- Automation of cloud based solution setup using templating/scripting languages such as CloudFormation, Chef, Puppet, Python, bash, Powershell, etc
- Experience of Network Virtualisation (NSX, Openflow, Open vSwitch)
- Good network understanding – (Firewalls, Load balancing etc)
- Experience and expertise in enterprise environments (Deployment processes & support handovers)
- Excellent documentation skills
- Deep understanding of operational procedures and process standards (e.g. ITIL)


Personal Skills
- Work closely with stakeholders and be comfortable communicating at all levels
- Able to guide a project teams to a solution that fit all the conflicting requirements
- You can present technical concepts in authoritative and clear manner to customers through white boarding, presentations and proposals
- You have a number of years’ experience in infrastructure design and understands implications and the impact to the business
- You have experience leading customer workshops exploring the requirements and mapping solutions
- Tenacious problem solver, will own issues until full resolution
- Ability to create wow / delighter moments with customers
