The role
This is a great opportunity for confident, highly creative Video Editors, with bags of ability and at least 2 years commercial experience to hit the ground running in a vibrant, funky and busy agency. This role will see you create compelling and innovative solutions for client communication campaigns. You will be using your experience and natural flair to bring ideas to life. Your role will be to create engaging videos utilising footage from shoots and/or stock footage. With a lot of their video edits they like to bring animation to life within these, so skills in After Effects are a must.
Whilst no two days are ever the same here at this agency, your typical daily duties would include -
- Working closely with the studio on a variety of video projects including: video editing talking heads (Brand, Products, Testimonials) - 2D Animation (Vector based, After Effects, Cel animation) - 3D Motion graphics (After Effects, Cinema 4D)
- Storyboarding and conceptualising new video projects from creative brainstorms
- Creating illustrated assets, title scenes and style frames from scratch for use within video and presentations
- Take ownership of projects while delivering to agreed deadlines
- Report to department head for project updates and to collaborate with the team
Essential skills
The agency attitude is a positive, can-do one, coupled with a hunger to succeed. As a Video Editor/Motion Designer your skills and abilities should fit the following criteria:
- Excellent knowledge of the Adobe Suite. Premiere Pro and After Effects are essential
- Sharp eye for Colour grading
- Excellent knowledge of Adobe Audition for sound clean up
- A keen eye for editing engaging videos
