Location: Liverpool

Working Hours: 39.5 hours (5 days) per week plus overtime

Position: Permanent

Provisional Period: 6 months

This company is the largest dry corn mill in Europe supplying milled maize to the breakfast and snack industry.

Role

The Utility Loader is responsible for Loading of bulk / bag vehicles and packing bagged product when required. This includes cover for weighbridge loaders during holidays and absences.

- PC Literate (MS Office etc.)
- Technical aptitude

Responsibilities:

- Proficient in the Operation of all loading and packaging equipment.
- Monitors stock levels, material supply and material utilization.
- Work with maintenance department to identify and report faults.
- Advise Production Manager and Supervisor of issues that may affect quality or safety within the
manufacturing areas.
- Effective verbal and written communication to staff at all levels.
- Monitor the packaging and loading process to operate at best levels of efficiency and achieve KPI’s.
- Maintain the Top 5 reporting system reporting all indicators daily.
- Maintain records and paperwork relating to loads, cleaning and quality.
- Carry out basic quality testing of finished goods and notify production supervisor of any issues.
- Carry out cleaning and maintenance schedule.
- Assist in CAPEX and continuous improvement projects when required.
- Adhere to Quality & Food safety policy and goals.

Skills and Experience:

- 2 years experience working within a food manufacturing facility
- Counterbalance Fork Lift Truck license
- Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Food Safety and HACCP qualification
