This is an opportunity to join a vibrant British Upholstery Manufacturer successfully producing Sofas and Chairs for the domestic market for nearly 30 years. With over 160 employees based in Kidderminster, they focus on all aspects of design, production and despatch.

Their production facility is based on one site which occupies 65,000 square feet. All their frames are made in their Timber Mill area and their Cutting and Sewing facility is staffed by skilled Cutters and Machinists who process more than 400,000 metres of fabric per year. Their Upholstery process is staffed by skilled Upholsterers who ensure a quality finish to our product.

Working on a Track System, the Upholsterer will be responsible for upholstering Sofa’s and chairs to a high standard ensuring quality control is maintained at all times.
- Fit, install and secure material on frames using appropriate tools.
- Mount workpieces onto production equipment
- Read work orders and apply knowledge and experience to determine types and amounts of materials required to cover workpieces.
- Work as a team on a Track System to ensure that your part of the process is completed to a high standard before passing over to the next stage
- Track work to ensure that the section of the Sofa you are responsible is completed in a timely manner
- Take on board feedback from Supervisor and make appropriate changes where necessary to ensure effective ways of working
- Adhere to all Health and Safety standards and take responsibility for good housekeeping in your area.
- Ensure quality standards are met at all times and errors are kept to a minimum
- Work as a team with other team members and provide additional support on other tracks during period of quiet

The ideal candidate will have worked within the furniture industry for some time using air powered staple guns and relevant hand tools.
Candidates must be experienced track upholsterers used to working at a fast pace.

You will be upholstering various types of seating using variety of different materials. The frames will be pre-built.
