Responsible to: Operations Manager / Quality Assurance Manager
Scope:
This training provider is looking to recruit a Basic Skills Support Tutor to provide basic English, maths and ICT training primarily across the Essex and Kent regions
Fixed term contract – 12 months
Working hours – 24 per week, flexible hours
Salary - £20,000 pro rata + performance related pay

Job responsibilities:
- Facilitation of work-based teaching sessions on basic skills including Maths, English and ICT
- Delivery of training on both a one to one and group basis
- Using, administering, and promoting the use of the approved functional skills software
- Invigilation of paper-based and online English, maths and ICT examination
- Developing lessons plans and training materials as required
- Completion of administration and review documentation in line with organisational standards
- Supporting learners to identify their learning needs and select appropriate on-line support materials to meet these needs
Personnel Specification
Essential attributes:
- Qualified to Level 2 or equivalent in English, maths and ICT
- Full driving licence
- Self-motivated and able to work autonomously
- Effective communication skills
- Excellent literacy and ICT skills
- Flexible and adaptable
- Ability to work with a diverse learner cohort
- Shows honestly, integrity and strong work ethics
Desirable attributes:
- Knowledge of the further education sector
- Experience in a teaching environment
Vacancy Location -
The head office for is in Camberley, Surrey. The role will be primarily working with learners within the Essex and Kent regions, which has been reflected in the city and town identification.
