Due to continued expansion the Company are seeking a Transport Planner located from their Ellesmere Port site.
The purpose of the role is to plan all outbound & inbound Logistics in the most efficient & cost effective manner. At all times providing a quality service to our customers whilst maintaining a 99% OTIF service level.
Main duties as follows:
- Assist with daily delivery schedule to meet service levels;
- Collation of loads for inbound & outbound distribution;
- Booking in collections & deliveries with customers;
- Calculating costs for agreed loads;
- Liaising with hauliers, suppliers & customers;
- Provide cost saving ideas/proposals;
- Advise customers with up to date information regarding delay & accurate ETA’s;
- Printing orders & delivery notes that form part of “planned loads”;
- Compilation of cost analysis on a monthly basis;
- Compilation of purchase order details for each haulage transaction.
Transport Planner - The Person:
- A minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a fast paced environment;
- Excellent communicator (verbal & written);
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail;
- Good analytical and numerical skills;
- Computer literate with strong capabilities in excel;
- Due to the location of the site own transport is essential.
The Transport Planner role is available for an immediate start. 40 Hours per week Monday to Friday.
