Transport Planner / Inventory Planner / Fleet Co-ordinator

This company based in Birmingham offers a range of engine cooling systems, heating and air conditioning systems and fluid reservoirs. They are the market leader for engine cooling and HVAC systems for the bus and coach market, supplying product globally. From a simple radiator design through to a complete cooling module with radiator/ charge air cooler and the option of viscous, hydraulic and electric fan drives, they can provide the complete 3D design, prototype test and production supply.

You will develop, implement and run systems to ensure controlled movement of goods out, to customers, depots, service engineers in other areas or based at customer factories.

Qualifications/Experience:
- IT Literate with experience of computerised stock control systems, limited capability with EXCEL spreadsheets, basic knowledge of WORD
- Capable of running a paper work system ensuring control of inventory
- Excellent geographical knowledge of UK

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Liaison with HGV drivers and customer delivery drivers including solving issues caused by journey delays
- Dealing with CPC
- Vehicle Tacho administration
- “O” Licence roles and administration
- Organising international deliveries
- Liaison with Internal Sales teams and logistics personnel at other company sites
- Rerouting of deliveries
- Urgent last minute shipments
- Inspecting shipments for despatch and ensuring correct packing and loading
- Producing distribution plans
- Preparing labels for Packing Section
- General logistics administration
- Liaison with HVAC team regarding customer factories deliveries and collections
- Participating in stock auditing when required
- Liaison with Purchasing department regarding imports
- Liaison with importing suppliers

Person Specification
- Strong personality, ability to get things done in a timely manner
- Neat, accurate, organised worker with first class attention to detail
- A quick learner in order to acquire product knowledge
- Bright and polite at all times
- Knowledge of international freight/ shipping useful
- Able to work calmly, effectively and methodically under pressure but still think quickly and use initiative in many situations.

Work Location: Based in one of their manufacturing plants in Tyseley

Working Hours: (40 per week) 0800-1700 Mon to Thu// 0800 to 1545 Fri. Flexibility required.

Rate of pay: £20-25K per annum
