Currently operating several successful websites dealing in 12 different languages, 14 different currencies and shipping to 100+ destinations worldwide; an opportunity has arisen for a new Translation Manager to join the team.
The role will cover all areas of translation management, where you’ll be working on the localisation of specialist copy for areas of digital marketing including Google Adwords, Email Marketing, Social Media, Magazine articles, Inbound Marketing / Blog copy, Website Merchandising, Customer Relationship Management and Conversion Rate Optimisation to name a few. Managing a full team of translators you will be responsible for delivering translated content for each of their 12 languages. You will be responsible for:
- Translating written content for 12 languages
- Managing a large team of translators and their workload
- Proof reading content and preparing content for translation
- Managing the archiving and storage of historical translations
- Assisting with the recruitment of translators both in-house, part time and freelance
- Training new translators
- Progressing the translation department by constantly striving for improvements
To be considered for the role of Translation Manager, you must:
- Have exceptional written English and understand how to write to a high standard
- Speak at least one of the following languages as your native tongue; French, German, Spanish or Italian
- Have experience as a translation professional
- Be meticulous and organised with a compulsion to get things right
- Be able to plan and manage a complex workload
- Be able to manage other people and their workloads
- Be able to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines
