40hr per week 8.30am – 5.15pm Mon–Thu, 8.45am – 4.15pm Friday

You will be responsible for managing a small team of 4 people and a warehouse of 2,500 sq ft which has integrated systems. The business has plans to expand and your role will grow with this expansion. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious supervisor/manager.

A small but fast growing pharmaceutical & sports supplement distribution company are looking for an ambitious person with a proactive attitude to managing warehouse operations with a team of four staff. There is the requirement to work closely with the management team on projects giving scope for career progression and variety within the job.

Requirements of Candidate:
- At least 1 years warehouse management/supervisor experience
- GCSE’s of C or above in Maths, English & Science
- Relevant vocational qualifications such as btech, City & Guilds or NVQ.
- Must be highly IT literate; with the ability to input, retrieve and analyse data.

Main Duties:
- Managing the team and communicating the business objectives to the staff to achieve daily results in line with our goals
- Operation of sage 50 software – specifically purchase order, sales order and stock modules
- Introduction of efficiencies to the operation through continuous development
- Enforcing correct procedures throughout the warehouse to meet quality standards such as GMP and food safety.
- Using data to generate reports on forecasting of product re-order levels, frequencies and highlighting trends
- Project management and scheduling of work
- Assistance in the manufacturing of products when required
- Writing up SOP’s and applying best practices
- Stock management, rotation and stock taking
- Identification of problems and the proposal of solutions
- Liaising with senior management and presenting KPI reports

Essential Experience
- Working in a warehouse environment with at least one year in a supervisory or managerial position
- Managing & leading teams
- Producing reports & working to KPI’s
- Stock control & forecasting
- Creating Manufacturing flows & SOP’s
- Using warehouse management software in a workplace environment
- Project management
- Enforcing company policy
